G e n d e r R e v e a l P a r t y !

So, as you saw on Instagram/ Snap Chat a couple of weeks ago we did a Gender Reveal Party.

                                                              We are Having a Girl!!

I really wanted a gender reveal party, it was my idea, but i have to admit...i was feeling anxious. As soon as my friend and i left the hospital, i kept trying to guess if it was a boy or girl,  the fact that she knew what i was having was killing me even more. I kept telling her " What if you just let me know what it is , and we can surprise everyone else?" She wasn't going to give in easily, so i gave up trying to convince her to tell me, plus i really wanted to do this and i didn't want to ruin that.

To be honest i think we both wanted to have a boy. But at the same time we didn't really care to have another baby girl, i think that i just wanted to take on a new journey and experience life with a baby boy. But at the end of the day like i said we didn't care to have another girl. Since the beginning I've always said and told many people that all i really cared for, was to have a healthy baby and a safe delivery, that has always been so important to me. Plus, as far as i can remember, growing up i really wanted to have an older sister, someone to share clothes with and a sister to give me advice.

                                                                     My Reaction?

Well as many of you saw my reaction on the video, i looked bummed, but i was more shocked and surprised at how many people had were rooting for a boy, and i think that made it a little harder for me. From the very beginning of this pregnancy everyone close to us, kept saying it would be a boy or either wanting me to have a boy , especially his family. Which I think I felt so pressured and even more emotional when I saw the pink balloons. However , after that I was just happy to have another baby girl.  Ready for you baby girl !!!

How has me being pregnant affected Ava so far ?

Growing up being Latina, i would always hear how having a second child can affect the first child. A few of the things i would hear would be like the child tends to get more whiny, more attached to the mother, that they can sense the baby, and that sometimes the symptoms that the mother is feeling the child himself/herself , them as well can feel them too. I can relate these sayings to my own personal experiences with Ava, and i can say they are very true.

Well over these past few weeks I've noticed some changes in Ava's behavior. Ava has become more whiny (have i mentioned she hardly naps during the day, woah! well that adds to her being extra whiny) and it doesn't help at all. She's become more attached to me, that's nothing new, because she has always been a momma's girl, but she just always wants to be carried by me, and i don't blame her, she just misses me, since I'm away at work. But the one thing that has thrown me from her behavior, are her mood swings, she's happy for a minute , then the next few minutes pass by she's upset over something, that i can't seem to figure out, because she's so upset and sad. Ava has lost appetite when it comes to eating, and she's become more picky just like her mother. Ive also had kids come up to me at work, rubbing my belly and telling me about my baby without me mentioning to them that I'm pregnant. Kids are smart and they can for sure sense , and 100 percent believe its true.

How have i reacted to Ava's behavior ?

Believe it or not?! Its been really hard for me to adjust to her behavior lately, because that behavior is not like my Ava i know. But I've been trying really hard to understand her and be there for her, because we are both going through these changes together. Ive been extra cuddly with her and i make sure that i spend as much time with her alone as i can, and she loves that we get to spend time together, she's so happy when we just lay in bed and rest together. So i just look at it as phase that were both going through together. Its my job as her mother to keep her busy and happy and to show her that my love for her is never ending...

Thanks for reading and i hope you all enjoy ! <3

BABY NUMBER DOS !!!

First prenatal appointment, and ultrasound

On father's Day, i found out i was going to be a mother once again. At first i was very shocked and surprised, only because i was using birth control. Although, i do remember missing one pill but that same morning i took both pills right away. I knew it was less of a chance if i had taken them right away, or at least i thought i was safe since in the paper for birth control it states that. The day of Father's Day i had a hard time getting out of bed that morning, because the night before i kept making several trips to the bathroom and so it was really hard to catch any sleep. Even a few nights before, i kept waking up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, but i didn't think much of it , since i usually drink a glass of  water before i sleep i thought i just had a lot to drink. That Sunday later in the day i was feeling super exhausted nothing like me at all, i even took a nap that i did not want to wake up from. This momma couldn't keep sleeping, because i had Ava to keep an eye on although her dad was awake watching her i felt bad that i was sleeping on him on fathers day so i got up. Later that afternoon we went to target, got some stuff that we needed and in my head i got the thought of getting the pregnancy test, so i did. Mario gave me a confused look, but i got it anyway , wanted to be sure and not keep thinking if whether i was or not. We drove home to get some stuff before dinner, and i was the one to get off the car and i figured id take the test, so i did, i nervously sat on the toilet as i peed on the stick, then waited on the test to say its final answer...and Boom, PREGNANT! So that is how i found out i was pregnant, and we are excited for this baby, because every baby is a little blessing sent from God. I can't wait to find out if we will be having another little girl or if we will have a little boy, whatever it is i just pray for a healthy baby.
